Two tables returned for Day 3, with the consolidated chips of 329 players in the hands of just 13. In the end, it was Dutch poker player Alex Hendriks who took down the €550 Main Event and the largest chunk of the €159,565 total prize pool, after consolidating his start of day chip lead, supported by an excitable Dutch rail.

The final table line-up, true to form for the MPNPT, brought together competitors of eight nationalities and professions ranging from poker to pro football (third-place finisher Daniel Camus) to construction (runner-up Jussi Mattila).

The only country represented twice on the final table (by two MPNPT regulars), the United Kingdom, was not represented long. Poker pro Andy Hills was the first to hit the rail in ninth place, after a late-stage short stack grind to be proud of, picking up €3,065. Colin Guthrie followed him in eighth place for €4,000 after a poor run of luck saw him drop quickly from his third-in-chips position when the final was set.

Next, Johannes Park lost the last of his nine apparent lives after surviving several all-in for his tournament life spots with the worst of it. Professional tennis coach Park has been on a live poker heater recently, winning two local tournaments back in Denmark for €16,000 in the last week alone. He adds €5,400 to his winnings here for seventh place.

Semi-pro poker player Sebastian Rebhan exited in sixth for €7,000, followed by Jiri Noga in fifth place for €9,000. After a late-stage double up, Dominik Desset – the youngest player on the final at 20 years of age – ran out of luck to finish fourth, netting him €13,200.

A three-handed deal then chopped most of the money, but this did little to loosen up play. Levels ticked by as the cagey trio vied for dominance but spent a lot of time nearly even in chips. Eventually, it was Camus who fell in third place, collecting €24,100.

The heads up, in contrast, lasted just one hand before it was all over. The stack-dominated Mattila took the runner-up spot and €20,900, while the trophy, the glory, and the €27,000 top prize went to Hendriks. He had built a stack steadily on Day 2 and never lost momentum; a bonus prize for being the longest-lasting online qualifier from the Betsson Group also locked him up a €1,500 package for the next MPNPT stop.
